Description This photo shows an International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) kitcar that was used to move people and supplies during the Nigerian-Biafran war. In 1967, the CDC was asked to assist the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in disease control and death prevention efforts during the Nigerian-Biafran war. A large number of relief camps were established for nutrition assessment, and feeding operations for the local villagers around the war zone. This image was provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
