Free Picture: Sailor Using a Refractor
|
Description Photograph of hospitalman Brian Long from Sellersville, Pennsylvania, prepares to try and read a standard eye chart from 20 ft away while looing through a refractor on board the USS John F Kennedy (CV67). A refractor is an instrument used to prescribe the power of a lens to correct your vision to 20/20 or close to it. It can accomodate for astigmatism, near and distant vision. The Kennedy and her battle group are conducting a composite training unit exercise (COMPUTEX) which is an intermediate level exercise designed to forge the strike group into a cohesive fighting team and is a crucial step in predeployment training. USN photo taken by Photographer’s Mate Third Class Christian Weibull, March 5th 2004.
