Free Picture: Man and Woman Standing Outside of a Shell Gas Station Where Two People Became Ill with the Marburg Virus
|
Description This 1975 photo was taken during the Rhodesian, now Zimbabwean Marburg investigation, after two hitchhikers, who stopped at this location a month earlier, fell ill with the Marburg hemorrhagic fever. Dr. M. Isaacson (Lt) is shown interviewing a gas station attendant in March, 1975. He recalled the two travelers because of the hot weather, and how long they had to wait to get a ride. This image was created in 1975 and provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
