Description This 1997 photograph shows Aaron L. Sussel, a NIOSH industrial hygienist, preparing to take an air sample from a worker exposed to harmful substances found in a fireworks manufacturing shop in Tultepec, Mexico. This is part of a series of images (see PHIL ID#’s: 6790 - 6795) that were taken during a National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) assisted study which showed the health effects of heavy metal exposure among workers of this Mexican fireworks shop. This image was created in 1997 and provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention/NIOSH/Aaron L Sussell.
