Description This 7 yr. old child presented with a case of autoinoculation of her cheek after having been vaccinated with vaccinia.
Autoinoculation involves the spread of the vaccinia virus to another part of the vaccinee’s body, except the eyes, caused by touching the vaccination site and then touching another part of the body. It is usually mild in its severity.
