Description
Black and white photo of Leo Frank in 1913. Leo Max Frank was accused of the rape and murder of an employee named Mary Phagan in his pencil factory. After being imprisoned, new evidence came to light that made it doubtful that he was the one that convicted the crime, so the governor removed his death sentence and gave him life in prison instead. A group called the "The Knights of Mary Phagan" kidnapped Leo from prison and lynched him in 1915, ending the mans life.
