This photo was taken near a Wankie, Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe) roadside where a Marburg vector investigation took place in 1975. Shown here in white, P. Geldenhuys is trapping small mammals for blood studies during a the Rhodesian Marburg investigation following the outbreak of 1975. The vector involved in this outbreak was never discovered. This image was created in 1975 and provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention/Dr. J. Lyle Conrad.
