This posteroanterior (PA) chest x-ray was taken 4 mo. after the onset of anthrax in a 46 yr. old male.This patient, who’d worked for 2 yrs. as a card tender in a goat hair processing mill contracted anthrax, and after having been x-rayed, revealed bilateral pulmonary effusion, and a widened mediastinum, which are hallmarks of the disease process.
